Relaunching the Unpaid Carers Charter – Supporting Those Who Care!

Relaunching the Unpaid Carers Charter – Supporting Those Who Care! On this #UnpaidCarersDay, 12th March 2025, we proudly relaunch the Unpaid Carers Charter for Cardiff and the Vale, reinforcing our commitment to recognising and supporting unpaid carers of all ages.

With 1 in 10 people in our region providing unpaid care to a loved one, the updated Charter ensures that carers receive the right support, at the right time, in the right place. This update reflects carers’ voices and insights from events like the Cardiff and Vale Unpaid Carers Assembly held on 2nd October 2024.

What’s in the Charter?

A commitment from NHS, councils & voluntary sector partners to identify, recognise, and support unpaid carers. Clear pathways to information, financial guidance, and wellbeing support. A pledge to improve services, listen to carers, and empower choice.
