Looking Ahead to the Year Ahead: Working Together for Stronger Communities

As we begin a new year, the Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board (RPB) is looking ahead with optimism, ambition and a continued commitment to working together for the people and communities we serve.

The year ahead will see us building on the strong foundations already in place across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Through partnership working across health, local authorities, the third sector and our communities, we will continue to focus on prevention, early intervention and joined-up services that support people to live well, independently and with dignity.

Over the coming months, our work will include progressing key priorities across children and young people, older people, learning disabilities, carers and mental health, alongside the ongoing development of integrated community-based models of care. We will also continue to strengthen co-production, ensuring the voices and experiences of citizens, service users and frontline staff shape how services are designed and delivered.

2026 will also be a year of learning, reflection and celebration — sharing what works, addressing challenges together, and showcasing the impact of partnership working across the region.

We would like to thank all our partners, stakeholders and communities for their continued collaboration and support. We look forward to working with you throughout the year ahead to make a positive and lasting difference across Cardiff and the Vale.
