On August 7th, we celebrated two years of Opening Doors to Brain Workout — a community-led programme from the Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board that’s reached over 2,000 people with inclusive, culturally sensitive activities to support brain health and wellbeing.
The day was full of joy and colour — from a moving Hindu blessing to uplifting Bollywood singing, the aroma of wonderful traditional food, powerful personal stories, and a hall filled with community partner stalls offering advice, support, and opportunities to connect.

We were honoured to welcome Sarah Murphy MS, Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing, whose visit marks the start of work on the new Dementia Action Plan for Wales. Her time with us was a chance to share the learning and good practice developed through Opening Doors and show the impact of working with communities, not just for them.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — let’s keep opening doors, building trust, and working together for healthier, more connected communities. 💜
