Welcome
The Regional Partnership Board (RPB) is made up of Cardiff Council, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, housing, third & independent sectors and carer representatives.
Our aim is to improve the health and well-being of the population and improve how health and care services are delivered by making sure people get the right support, at the right time, in the right place.
OUR PRIORITIES
Our work is in three core areas that focus on:
DECHRAU’N DDA
STARTING WELL
We want every child in Cardiff and Vale to have the opportunity to thrive. Our work focuses on children in vulnerable situations and the services that support them.
BYW’N DDA
LIVING WELL
As a Partnership we have worked together with people with a learning disability, their families, carers and the third and independent sector to produce a clear direction for the planning and delivery of adult learning disability services across the region over the next five years.
HENEIDDIO’N DDA
AGEING WELL
We know how hard it can be to find help when people need it the most. We want to make sure there is community support to help people stay as healthy as possible so they can carry on doing the things that matter most to them.
The Regional Innovation Co-ordination (RIC) Hub supports innovation in health and social care across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan by showcasing good practice, supporting the spread and scale of new approaches and bringing people together to solve issues.
Annual Report 2023-24
The Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board is pleased to be able to share our work in 2023-24.
This report highlights just some of the work that the Regional Partnership Board has delivered to improve the lives of people living in Cardiff and the Vale.
Our key priorities are:
Making the best use of resources by delivering systems that work together quickly and efficiently
Getting people urgent help when they need it
Supporting people to live at home for as long as possible
Preventing avoidable harm
Making sure people can easily find out what’s available in their community so they get the services they need and do the things they enjoy
Saving people’s time by reducing waiting times and sharing information so they only have to tell us once
Making sure children and young people get the best start in life, especially in their first 1000 days, that we know can set the direction of the rest of their lives
Case Studies and Citizen Stories
A key part of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 is ensuring that people are asked what matters to them.
