Corporate Director for People and Communities

Sarah is the Corporate Director for People & Communities at Cardiff Council and holds the statutory responsibility as Director of Social Services.  Appointed to this post in March 2018, Sarah was previously the Director of Housing, Communities & Customer Services and has worked for most of her career in Cardiff Council starting with the Local Authority in 1986.  

Sarah started her career as a housing professional having undertaken a 2 year post graduate housing diploma at the University of Stirling and with a further diploma in Strategic Housing awarded by the University of Birmingham. In her more recent roles, the focus of her work has been on person centred service integration across a wide range of Council and Partner activities.
