Healthy Lives Event Brings Health and Wellbeing to the Heart of the Community

On 29 July 2025, Cardiff West Community High School opened its doors to host the vibrant Healthy Lives Event, a free community day packed with health checks, wellbeing advice, and family fun. Residents enjoyed a wide range of activities, from blood pressure checks and nutrition guidance to mental health support and immunisations, alongside entertainment such as balloon modelling, a bouncy castle, and a magic show for children.

The event brought together a strong network of partners, including Cardiff and Vale UHB’s Public Health Dietetic Team, the Recovery & Wellbeing College, Cardiff City FC Community Foundation, Age Connects Cardiff & Vale, Ara Recovery 4 All, BAWSO, Bowel Cancer UK, and many more.

This collaborative approach reflects the Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board’s commitment to working across health, social care, and community organisations to improve wellbeing for all. By offering services in a local, accessible setting, the event helped connect people to the right support at the right time—reducing barriers, tackling health inequalities, and strengthening community links.
