The 1001 Critical Days Foundation has opened its second round of grant funding for UK-registered charities (established for 2+ years) that directly support babies during their first 1,001 days. Applications are especially encouraged from projects delivered in family hubs or similar open-access community settings.
This round uses a two-stage application process — an Expression of Interest (EoI), followed by a full application for shortlisted organisations. The window for applications has been extended, and feedback will be provided at Stage Two.
Funding priorities include:
• Demonstrable, measurable outcomes for babies and families
• Strong partnership working, including match-funding plans
• Financially stable organisations with focused delivery
• Projects embedded within family hubs or equivalent community spaces
Key Dates:
• Stage One (EoI) deadline: 19 December 2025
• Stage Two invitations: Late January 2026
• Stage Two submissions: 27 February 2026
• Stage Three meetings: 23 March – 24 April 2026
• Final decisions: May 2026

• 114 applications received
• 11 organisations shortlisted
• 5 charities funded
• £2 million awarded
