On the 4th March 2026, the ICCS Summit brought together partners from across health, local government, the third sector and community organisations at Glamorgan Cricket Ground in Sophia Gardens to explore how we can work differently to support people and communities across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The summit provided an opportunity for system leaders, practitioners and partners to share ideas, showcase innovation and discuss the practical steps needed to build a more connected, community-focused system of care. Through collaboration and shared learning, we explored how services can work more closely together to support prevention, early intervention and person-centred care.

This page will act as a central hub for the ICCS Summit and wider ICCS work, bringing together presentations, speaker information, resources and insights shared during the event. It will continue to evolve as the programme develops, capturing learning, progress and future activity as we move forward together.

We encourage partners to revisit this page regularly as new materials, updates and developments are added.

Partner Perspectives

Success Stories

The ICCS Summit highlighted a number of successful initiatives and projects from across Cardiff and the Vale, demonstrating how partnership working is already making a difference for people and communities. These examples showcased innovative approaches to integrated care, where health, local authority and third sector partners are working together to provide more joined-up, community-focused support. By sharing these real-world experiences, partners were able to reflect on what works well, learn from each other, and explore how successful models can be strengthened and expanded across the system.

Workshop Discussions: What might the future look like?

There were two workshops held during the summit, facilitated by Jack Short and Scott Maslin from the National Association of Primary Care. These workshops provided an opportunity for partners to come together in smaller groups to explore key themes and challenges relating to the development of the Integrated Community Care System.

Through open discussion and shared insight, participants reflected on practical ways to strengthen collaboration, improve pathways of care, and support prevention and early intervention. The conversations captured valuable perspectives from across the system and will help inform the ongoing development of ICCS as partners continue to work together to shape more connected and responsive services.
