Have your say on the future of healthcare across South-East Wales

Health boards across South-East Wales are asking local people to help shape how healthcare services could be delivered across the region in the future.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board have launched a new engagement opportunity to hear from patients, carers, families, staff and communities about their experiences, priorities and what matters most to them when accessing healthcare.

As a Regional Partnership Board, we know how important it is that the voices of people and communities are heard when services are being planned. We are therefore encouraging people across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, as well as our partners and wider networks, to take part in the survey and support this important regional conversation.

Why are the health boards working together?

The NHS is facing significant challenges, but there are also opportunities to work differently and make better use of the staff, skills, facilities and technology available across South-East Wales.

By planning and delivering some services together, health boards can explore how people can access the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Regional working does not mean replacing local services. Instead, it provides opportunities to share specialist expertise, equipment and capacity across South-East Wales where this could provide greater benefits for patients.

Have your say

Whether you use NHS services, care for someone who does, work within health or care services, or simply want to have a say in the future of healthcare in your community, your views are important.

The survey is an opportunity to share your experiences, views and priorities and help the health boards understand what matters most to people across the region.

We would also encourage our partners and stakeholders to share the engagement opportunity through their own networks and help us reach as many people and communities as possible.

Every response will help build a clearer picture of what matters to the people of South-East Wales and help inform future planning for healthcare services across our region.
