Help shape Post-19 provision for young adults with PMLD

Two Rhythms is seeking views to help explore the development of a specialist Post-19 Learning, Communication and Participation Programme for young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).

The proposed programme could provide continued opportunities for learning, communication, creative expression, social connection and community participation after school or college, potentially incorporating sensory learning, creative activity and assistive technology.

Parents, carers and guardians are being invited to share what matters most to the people they support, while professionals working across education, health, social care and the third sector are being asked to help identify gaps, local need and opportunities for partnership.

Feedback gathered through the consultation will be used to help shape the programme and support future funding applications.

This is an important opportunity to help ensure future provision reflects the needs and experiences of young adults with PMLD and the people who support them.
