Young Carers Competition: Find out more and submit your entry here

Overview

Cardiff and Vale RPB are running a competition to find out how you would promote the Cardiff and Vale Young Carers Charter to Young Carers across our region.

We are looking for classes/groups of young people to submit a short film, voice note or cartoon that could be used across social media.

We are also asking you to think about where you would like us to promote the Charter. Let us know in your entry below.

This competition is open to schools, youth clubs and other groups and organisations who are supporting people in key stage 3 (Years 7-9), both in and out of school.

On this page are a range of sample advertising resources we have created that may inspire you, but feel free to be as creative a you like. The important thing is to tell young carers about the Charter and encourage them to find out more.

Prizes

The competition will be judged by a panel, including young carers and the winning entries will be used to promote the Charter.

The winning entry will receive a voucher that can be spent in a range of places including Argos, WH Smith and Waterstones to buy resources that can be used by everyone in the class/group.

First Prize: £100 voucher

Second prize: £50 voucher

Third prize: £25 voucher

Submissions will need to be made by 30 June 2023 on the form below.

Top tips

A file size can be up to 200 MB however, it’s best practice to try and keep your file sizes to about 5MB. The larger the file, the longer it will take to download, especially on mobile phones and slower internet connections.

Rename files which have long names or special characters to a simple small name.

Our Priorities

DECHRAU’N DDA
STARTING WELL

We want every child in Cardiff and Vale to have the opportunity to thrive. Our work focuses on children in vulnerable situations and the services that support them.

HENEIDDIO’N DDA
AGEING WELL

We know how hard it can be to find help when people need it the most. We want to make sure there is community support to help people stay as healthy as possible so they can carry on doing the things that matter most to them.

BYW’N DDA
LIVING WELL

As a Partnership we have worked together with people with a learning disability, their families, carers and the third and independent sector to produce a clear direction for the planning and delivery of adult learning disability services across the region over the next five years.
